Beautiful Bullseye glass murrini that is handmade by me in my small studio, located in the depths of darkest Dorset on the south coast of the UK. Perfect for Glass Artists/Makers to use in their work.

As a glass fusing Designer/Maker myself, I originally started making murrini and vitrigraph for use in my own work: I was excited to learn a new glassy technique, and I wanted to try and create murrini that was just a little bit different to what everyone else was using!

A single murrini 'pull' produces a goodly amount of murrini (certainly for one person to use!), and so to enable me to make more and experiment with designs, I thought it would be nice to share my murrini with other glass artists; those who also wanted something a little different to what the 'big boys/girls' were producing, and those who were also passionate like me about trying to support UK/locally-made products. I feel very proud to be able to shout from the rooftops ‘UK made Murrini’ and proud to be able to support the UK economy in my own small way.

It's fair to say, therefore, that I'm not a big commercial producer of the glass you see in my shop: it's just me, making small batch murrini that I like to use myself, cutting it by hand and taking enjoyment from seeing how the glass flows and the designs appear! I'm quite particular and very fussy, so I demand high quality from myself and my product!

​To make my Murrini, I pull lengths (or canes) of molten glass from a vitrigraph kiln. Because it is made using this method, the design within the cane may change very slightly as the ‘pull’ progresses. This gives the possibility of lots of variety to the design: in the case of flowers, small petals with large centres, large petals with small centres and many combinations thereof!  The Murrini you will receive will be from throughout the ‘pull’ and I try to ensure that all flowers have petals and a centre. I try hard not include any hollows.

The size of my Murrini generally varies from approx 4mm-8mm diameter and it is sold in slices that measure between 2mm-6mm depth. I'm happy to supply it in cane form too, but currently you will need to contact me regarding this.

​PLEASE NOTE: I do not currently ship to the EU due to the quagmire of new EU regulations that now affect us in the UK. I am unable to post to Northern Ireland for the same reason(despite them not being part of the EU). Huge apologies for this: not my choice at all, and at some point I may try and wade through the quagmire! :-(
